Our Thornapple Street project was a second-phase addition in Section 3 of Chevy Chase — a neighborhood known for its charming, hallmark homes. With an expansive lot as our canvas, we transformed this 3,800-square-foot residence by adding two stories of outdoor living spaces, complete with two fireplaces, an outdoor spa, a gracious patio, and lush garden areas that seamlessly extend the home’s living experience. Collaborating with a dream team — Zantzinger Builders and Michelle Vassalo Architects — made the entire process a joy from start to finish. Being involved early in the design phase allowed us to ensure that every detail aligned with our clients’ goals and lifestyle. Their love of tranquility and outdoor living guided our design choices, from the spa-inspired color palette to the architectural details that define the space: vaulted ceilings, white oak trestles, tongue-and-groove paneling, and a heated plunge pool that serves as the lower level's serene focal point. We loved every moment of this project — not only because of the beauty we helped create, but also because we knew Zantzinger’s exceptional craftsmanship would ensure this addition stands the test of time. It was a true pleasure bringing our clients’ vision to life.
