1930s Tudor Revival
This project was especially meaningful to our team, as our clients had spent years searching for the perfect historic gem in Chevy Chase Village. From the beginning, the process was uniquely collaborative — the homeowners, well-versed in custom renovations, brought a thoughtful perspective that made the journey both creative and rewarding for everyone involved. Partnering with the exceptional teams at GTM Architects and Zuckerman Builders, we transformed every inch of this 1930s Tudor, located on one of the Village’s most coveted blocks. As with all historic homes, we approached each space with great respect for its architectural integrity, while thoughtfully infusing new life and functionality throughout. Our clients’ appreciation for traditional design — paired with their love of colorful, sophisticated textiles — set the tone for the interiors. They also embraced modern accents, allowing us to curate a rich mix of furnishings, lighting, and window treatments that harmonize beautifully with heirloom pieces and treasured artwork collected from their travels around the world. What began as an original three-bedroom, two-and-a-half-bath home has been reimagined into a six-bedroom, four-and-a-half-bath residence, complete with an elevator, covered and screened outdoor porch, and all the comforts one would expect of a home designed to last well into the next century.
